Collection: Kilims

Moroccan Kilims are made by closely interweaving the warp and weft strands of the weave, resulting in a flat surface with no pile. The work is technically similar to a tapestry weave, making it ideal for everyday use and an ideal complement to the summer months. Moroccan kilims were originally manufactured by nomads in the country's south and used to protect the ground of mosques, tents, yurts, and camel litter. Because of its light weight, it has become popular for ground covering, both indoor and outdoor, as well as wall decorating. Although manufactured without hair, the kilim is very resistant because of the double weft which gives a tight weave and comes in a variety of nuances.
