This is a rare abstract Rehamna carpet with motifs on a red base surrounded by a variety of tribal designs. Rehamna rug, coming from the region surrounding Marrakech, is uniquely hand knotted by Berber women out of high quality, pure and thick sheep wool. The Rehamna tribe were recognized for their horse breeding talents and were formerly regarded as ferocious warriors who played important roles in regional history.

The red base color, combined with the abstract motifs, is a hallmark of the Rehamna style, reflecting the cultural heritage and artistic expression of the Berber people.
